Maybe eventually they will drop that 144,000 number as being ''literal'', but being figurative. Or just eventually stop ''talking'' about the 144,000 all together, should there be another spike or two in the ''memorial partakers'' like there was in the last several years.

during my study of the 2015 article i recalled that we had just revised our understanding of the sheep and the goats a few years ago and this caused me to research the real progression of the jw understanding of this parable.

Their members would be much more happy with just getting on living their lives to the fullest. And not worrying about the big ''A'' every waking moment of their lives.
Maybe the JW's would have a much lower blood pressure, be healthier overall and stay out of the depression/mental institutions if they would just focus on their lives instead of pleasing God or the Borg 24/7

I just found out that my youngest brother committed suicide
by SnakesInTheTower inmy middle brother called me a couple of hours ago.
our youngest brother, josh, who was 38, was found by his friends in his apartment.
he hung himself.

Superstitions hard to shake due to subconscious thinking of magical results of good or bad luck because of folklore. It's something that's just acquired over time by people just making remarks about things like black cats crossing roads or sneezing 3 times. Nothing ever happens. -
